Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs Centenary 2020

In 2020 the Cheshire Union of Golf Clubs celebrates its centenary. Formed at a meeting in Manchester in November, 1920, the Union grew rapidly as the game of golf became ever more popular and new clubs emerged across Cheshire. Its history has seen classic matches, the emergence of great players and, most importantly, the fostering of a great cameraderie amongst players and officials both within Cheshire and the other counties with whom we have competed.

Today, we have 99 affiliated clubs. We run championships and county team at elite, boys and senior levels. Previous winners of the County Championship include Jamie Donaldson and David Horsey.

We hope you enjoy this website, and that you'll be able to take part in some of the events we have planned for 2020
